I’m Nathaniel Hill Jr.—a follower of Jesus, husband, father, author, speaker, and leadership coach. More than any title I’ve ever held, my greatest desire is to help people know Jesus more deeply and live faithfully in every area of life.
Raised in the inner city of Southern California, I experienced firsthand the power of caring adults who invest in the next generation. That foundation shaped a lifelong calling to build leaders, strengthen communities, and point people toward Christ.
For more than two decades, I’ve served in youth ministry, including over eleven years with Young Life, where I currently serve as Regional Director for the Ozark–Bayou Region. I’m also the co-founder of The Bridge Connection Community Initiative, an organization committed to serving communities, supporting families, and creating pathways of hope.
I’m the author of The Easy Yoke, a book born out of a season of sabbatical and spiritual renewal. Through my writing and speaking, I explore themes of biblical leadership, spiritual formation, wisdom, and learning to carry life with Jesus rather than carrying burdens He never intended us to bear.
My wife, Lakenya, and I have been married for 23 years and are grateful to be raising our four children in Shreveport, Louisiana. Family remains one of God’s greatest gifts and one of my highest callings.
Whether through this blog, a conference, a church gathering, or a conversation over coffee, my prayer is always the same:
That people would grow in wisdom, lead with humility, and walk closely with Jesus.
